Our district will submit three winning ornaments to be displayed on the State Capitol Holiday Tree in Little Rock:
✅ One from K-4
✅ One from 5-8
✅ One from 9-12
This year’s theme encourages students to celebrate local folklore and regional heritage through their designs. 🌟

A selection committee will review entries and choose the winners that represent our district. Let’s show off our students’ talent and creativity across Arkansas!

On August 12, 2025, the Deer-Mt. Judea School District received a report of a possible threat at the Deer Campus, which was made on the playground.
The incident was immediately investigated.
The District consulted with local law enforcement authorities to assure the safety of students and staff.
Key Points:
*No students or staff were ever in immediate danger.
*At this time, there is no reason to believe a threat exists going forward.
The safety and security of our students, staff, and campuses are and will continue to be our top priority.
We appreciate our communities’ concern for the safety of our children and will continue to take all necessary precautions to protect them.
Note: Due to privacy considerations under applicable law, the District will have no further public comment.

BELL TO BELL, NO CELL: Device-Free Learning Starts 2025–2026
In accordance with Arkansas Act 122 (2025), all public schools in the state will implement a full-day personal electronic device ban beginning this school year.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Cell phones
• Wireless earbuds/headphones
• iPods/media players
• iPads/tablets
• Smartwatches & wearables
• Portable gaming devices
• Non-school laptops
• Devices with Bluetooth/communication capabilities
Exceptions may be granted for:
• Medical needs
• IEP accommodations
• After-school activities
• Emergencies
Parents/guardians will need to contact the school to apply for an exception.
