Thank you Deer parent group for decorating our elementary hallways. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and the students were excited when they saw it all this morning. Thanks again parents!

Popcorn orders are in and we will start sending them out tomorrow. If you had a large order and would like to come by and pick it up just come see us in the elementary. Thank you to everyone who supported Deer Elementary during this fundraiser!




Mt. Judea’s Fall Festival Kings & Queens


Deer/Mt. Judea has an opening for a fully certified social studies teacher with coaching and gifted and talented responsibilities. Deer campus. Interested candidates please send resume to bill.mizaur@deer.k12.ar.us

Deer Elementary first graders also made stops at the historic jail, the elk museum, fire station and the county courthouse on their field trip. They even visited with the Jasper Mayor Jan Larsen who invited them all to the Christmas parade.




Deer first graders took a trip to Jasper where they visited Mrs. Windel at the Newton County Library. She read them books about Thanksgiving and talked to them about what they are thankful for in their lives. The students made their own thankful turkeys to take home.


Starfish Reward - The students received an invite to Starbooks Cafe. They enjoyed a drink and snack after choosing a book to add to their personal library.



Deer Seniors are hosting a Santa Breakfast! To get tickets early contact a Senior, Mrs. Joei Phillips, or Mrs. Cristan Martin!


We want to thank our Deer students, parents, staff, community members, and the Deer Fire Dept. for all the donations. Our goal was to help 10 families but through the wonderful outpouring of donations we are going to be able to help 20 families this Thanksgiving! Thank you all!

Deer Elementary Hall of Famers for 1st 9 weeks. Tinleigh Adams, Eli Young, Rowan White and Jaiden Smith. To be placed in the Hall of Fame students must have perfect attendance, excellent citizenship, and straight A's. Congratulations students!

We would like to give a shout out to these wonderful ladies for cooking and serving a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Mt. Judea today. Also, a thanks to all the families and friends that joined the students and us for lunch today! We are very thankful for you all!
