🚨🚨 Deer-Mt Judea Schools will be dismissing at 1:00 today to avoid potential severe weather. Today, the forcast calls for severe weather for our area with potential intense storms lined up during normal school dismissal times. To keep our staff and students safe we will dismiss at 1:00. This creates additional hours to make up and we will announce a make-up day at a later time. We will be on normal start times moving forward. We apologize for the inconvenience this creates. We appreciate you understanding the safety of our students, staff, and bus drivers are the priority at this time. Announcements about tonight's Deer Prom will be announced later today.

🚨DMJ Parents, Students, and Staff: There will be no school tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18. The Winter Storm appears to be approaching our area tomorrow morning. With cold temperatures in place whatever falls will stick immediately, quickly causing hazardous road conditions. Parents, please be prepared for the possibility of multiple days of school closure. We will provide daily updates as necessary. At this time, we have scheduled Friday, February 28 as a make-up day. We will make announcements regarding future make-up days as they are scheduled.

🚨 Two-Hour Delay Announcement – Wednesday, February 12, 2025 🚨 Due to the Winter Weather Advisory and the potential for additional ice accumulation, Deer-Mt. Judea School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. We will continue to run highway routes only. ⚠️ Weather Conditions: • Freezing rain is expected between 3 AM and 7 AM, with additional ice accumulation possible. • Ice is already accumulating on trees, power lines, and bridges, increasing the risk of hazardous travel conditions. Please use extreme caution when traveling. We will make additional announcements at 7 AM regarding any further schedule changes. Stay safe and warm! ❄️

🚨DMJ Parents! School will start at 9:45 this morning. That is a two hour delay. Buses will run on highways only. If your road has low hanging limbs and branches the bus will not travel on that road. You may make arrangements with your bus driver. We apologize for any inconvenience but safety for all is the priority.

🚨 DMJ School Delay Announcement 🚨 Due to the freezing rain and potentially icy road conditions, Deer-Mt. Judea Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, February 11. The safety of our students, staff, and community is our top priority. Roads may be icy in places and there are many trees sagging into the road possibly making it difficult for buses to travel. We will assess the roads and down trees in the daylight and provide an update around 7 am. Please use caution if you must be on the roads, and allow extra time for travel. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates. Stay safe and watch for ice! 🧊
